Secrets of a Housekeeper

Does your shower head come off the wall or is it attached? For a small amount of money, you can quickly change out the old stationary shower heads to one that easily detaches. Why we love them? When we clean your showers, we want to use products and soaps that need to be rinsed. This is an example of how it might go, cleaning with an attached head... I've soaped the walls, put some product on to get hard water or soap scum, scrubbed it, and now I need to rinse. Easy Right? So, I take my large cup and place it up to the shower head to gather water, which doesn't quite fit, so I end up taking a little shower while filling my cup. A little water never killed anyone, right? Then I carefully pour the water down until it runs clear. Rinse. Repeat. Like 1000 times. Or that's what it feels like when I'm soaking wet. Needless to say, we prefer detachable shower heads. Costco has one for under $50 (hint, hint)

Tips and Tricks

Microwave got you hot and bothered? - Many of our clients had what looks likes lasagna or chili explode and rather than spraying a wiping and scraping the food out, we use this time saving trick. If your microwave has a lot of stuck on food or a funky smell, do this.

Grab a rag, (we use microfiber) and get it pretty darn wet. Toss it in the microwave and heat for 3 minutes. In the process of the water heating, it will steam the whole microwave causing the stuck-on food to easily wipe off. Once the 3 minutes are up, wear gloves (because the rag is HOT) and wipe all stuck-on debris out easily. To tackle smells, use a little vinegar with your water. To stop the mess before it begins, check out our product recommendation below.
