"House plants can be a great way to liven up your home and add an extra touch of beauty and life, making any space cozy and inviting. Not only do they look beautiful, but house plants can also be beneficial for your mental and physical health. Studies have shown that house plants can help reduce stress and anxiety, improve air quality, and even boost productivity. Alongside all the health benefits plants are functional decor. Plants do not go out of style, making it worth your time and the money you spend on them to fill your space. Plus, caring for houseplants can be a calming and rewarding activity. Overall, you can't go wrong when deciding to add a little greenery to your home."

The Little Blue Scrubbie

ree

We always use blue ScothBrite pads for cleaning. They are scratch free unlike their green counterpart, which can and will scratch glass and counters as well as your dishes. These work well for sinks, including stainless steel, glass shower enclosures, mirrors, and dishes. We particularly like the thinner ones without a sponge attached because they don't allow water to sit in them and cause that funky smell of mildew. In our homes, we cut one of these in half and use for dishes. When we want to give them a quick refresh, just toss in the dishwasher for some sanitizing. Link to Purchase HERE.

Secrets of a Housekeeper

1. Most obviously, the shower.

Using this after each shower will help maintain and keep you walls clear of soap scum, hard water marks and mildew. We advise keeping one in every shower, but especially ones with tile and lots of glass.

2. Pet Fur

If your pets climb onto the couches or beds, a quick way to remove the hair is by squeegeeing the furniture. It will pull all the hair into a clump that is easy to remove. You can use this technique on car interior as well as stairs.

3. Windows/Mirrors

If you want to clean your windows like the pros, you'll need an extendable squeegee. They make the job streak free and easy. For indoor use, you'll want a towel to catch the drips.

Happy New Year!
