Tips and Tricks to get your home summer ready...




Patio Furniture is easier to clean than you might think!

In a bucket, mix 1:3 detergent to-to-water solution. Use a soft rag to spot clean each scuff mark on furniture and cushions. Use a garden hose to rinse off excess detergent solution Allow to air dry and good as new!








Now it’s time to clean that deck!

Start by sweeping the deck to get excess debris off. Next take your pressure washer and spray at least 24 inches away from the deck. If you find that there are still some stains, baking soda or a vinegar-water solution will do the trick!






It is always important to keep your grill clean!


For the outside of your grill, add dish soap and water to a bucket. Then use a sponge to scrub off the grease. Next, remove the grates, and apply a grill cleaner

to them, such as simple green bbq cleaner. Then scrub with a dry grill brush and your ready to get cooking!








Clean your driveway to really elevate your space!


Start by sweeping any lose dirt and debris. Using a lawn and garden sprayer, add equal parts water and vinegar or baking soda, plus a tablespoon of eco friendly dish soap. Spray this mixture to the concrete and let sit for 30 minutes. Next scrub with a stiff nylon brush until stains are removed. lastly, rinse with a hose or pressure washer and your driveway will be sparkling!






Get rid of environments that bugs love!


Keep your home clean and free of left out food. Bugs are attracted to light, so having Your outdoor lights off can help. Store your trash in airtight bins. Make sure your doors and windows are sealed properly. Light a citronella candle.







Insect repelling plants!


Lavender, garlic, lemongrass, peppermint, and citronella are all plants that repel bugs!


Create your own Bug spray!


Ingredients


15 drops geranium essential oil

8 drops cedarwood essential oil

8 drops catnip essential oil

6 drops eucalyptus essential oil

6 drops rosemary essential oil

5 drops peppermint essential oil

½ cup organic soybean base oil

4-ounce spray bottle


Directions


Add the geranium, cedarwood, catnip, eucalyptus, rosemary, and peppermint essential oils directly to the storage bottle, then add the soybean oil. Screw the top on the bottle and shake vigorously to blend. Allow the spray to synergize for 1 hour. Store at room temperature, away from heat and light; use within 1 year.
